Happiness is not a choice! But it is a byproduct of ongoing conscious deliberate choices!
Economics is the science of scarcity: we have unlimited desires but the resources available to satisfy those desires are limited. Therefore, we have to make choices, and those choices involves trade-offs!
Since economics is the science of making choices, let the Happiness Economist introduce you to 12 Choices to a Happier You!
The course will begin with what the Happiness Economist refers to as the 'Five Basic Happiness Problems', and then will move into the '12 Choices' you can make to improve your mental well-being, and experience more happiness as a result!
So, what are the Five Basic Happiness Problems, according to the Happiness Economist?
1- We WANT to be happy.
2. We want to be happy NOW.
3- We want to be happy ALL THE TIME.
4- We want to be happy WITHOUT MUCH EFFORT.
5- We want to be happy BY CHASING THE WRONG THINGS.
The course includes a variety of media and activities: videos to watch, lectures to listen to, and journal reflections to respond to.
