For 8 Saturdays starting in April-May 2022, one of our pre-selected sweet treats was shared on Rushion McDonald's "Rushion's Baker Spotlight, a baker's blog which highlights the best dessert recipes from bakers across the country. We received hundreds of comments of support and requests for our featured recipes from Maggie's Cupcake Café. And then I started thinking! Why not offer this collection of the recipes in a cookbook?! Most people do not have time or forget to go back into social media and find a recipe that they want to make, so, thus, Sweet Cakes & Bakes was born.
My team and I at the café hope that you enjoy these 8 great recipes. From cupcakes to pies to muffins to cakes, we tried to offer a variety of desserts that not only reminded us of our time with our grandma, Big Momma, or mom, but of family and love in the kitchen. These are simple but elegant desserts that we are sure your family and friends will enjoy, especially the Sunday Table Cakes.
